The Three Departments in the Faculty of Engineering Included in the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF)
The Faculty of Engineering at our university, including the Departments of Geophysical Engineering, Geological Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, has been included in the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF). These departments follow the criteria outlined in Article 7 of the Regulations Governing the Use of the Turkish Qualifications Framework Logo on Higher Education Graduation Documents, Transcripts, and Diplomas, as announced during the 45th meeting of the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF) Board held on May 9, 2024.
The Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF) is a national qualifications framework designed to be compatible with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). It encompasses all qualifications principles obtained through vocational, general, and academic education and training programs, as well as other learning pathways, including those from primary, secondary, and tertiary education, regardless of the learning environment. The TQF is designed to cover all quality-assured qualifications acquired at various levels within the education and training system in our country. It encompasses all qualifications obtained through experience-based learning in workplaces, common and open learning environments, as well as independent individual learning. Moreover, it facilitates the development of qualifications that recognize the learning achievements of individuals with special needs.
