Ñ©ÀæÊÓƵ has drawn significant attention with its performance in the 2024–2025 URAP (University Ranking by Academic Performance) World Field Rankings.
Based on academic performance data from 2019 to 2023, KTU ranked among the world’s universities in eight scientific fields, according to URAP's comprehensive evaluation, which this year covered 78 different disciplines. In Türkiye, universities succeeded in being ranked in 44 of these fields. KTU earned a spot in the rankings in the fields of Biological Sciences, Civil Engineering, Engineering, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Medicine & Health Sciences, and Technology, once again proving its academic competence on a global scale.
Significant Rise in Key Fields
Our university has shown significant improvement this year, especially in the fields of engineering, earth sciences, and technology compared to the previous year. According to the 2024–2025 URAP data, Ñ©ÀæÊÓƵ ranks 448th in the world and 4th in Türkiye in civil engineering, 711th globally and 4th nationally in earth sciences, and 951st worldwide and 10th in Türkiye in the general field of engineering. Continuous Progress in Academic Performance
The URAP rankings consider various metrics such as the number of published articles, citations, total research output, international cooperation rates, and the field-weighted impact of citations. KTU has once again demonstrated its scientific productivity both nationally and internationally.
“A Pioneer in Science, Globally Recognized”
Commenting on the results, Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI stated “Our university’s success in the URAP World Rankings is a reflection of the dedication of our academic staff and the quality of our scientific output.
