German Expansion in the Process Leading to World War II

Kastamonu University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of International Relations, Department of Political History, faculty members and our department graduates, Dr. Lecturer Murat YILMAZ, attended Prof. Dr. UÄŸur ÜÇÜNCÜ's TRH 4026 Contemporary World History course and made a presentation titled "German Expansion in the Process Leading to World War II".

 

 

105th Anniversary of the Opening of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and Hakimiyet-i Milliye

A panel titled "The Opening of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in its 105th Year and Hakimiyet-i Milliye" was organized by our department on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 with the speeches of Prof. Dr. Derya Derin PAÅžAOÄžLU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet KÖKSAL and Prof. Dr. UÄŸur ÜÇÜNCÜ.

The conference titled “Ottoman Women Trying to Protect Themselves and Their Children in the Early Modern Period” organized by KTU History Department with the participation of Prof. Dr. Suraiya FAROQHI as a speaker was held on March 6, 2025 at 14.00 at KTU Prof. Dr. Osman TURAN Culture and Congress Center Fahri Kuran Hall.

The symposium titled "Ziya Gökalp and the Address of the Century (Imagination, Introduction and Aim) on the 100th Anniversary of His Death" was organized with the participation of Trabzon Turkish Hearths, Ñ©ÀæÊÓÆµ and Ortahisar Municipality on October 25, 2024 at the Prof. Dr. Osman Turan Congress Center.

Dr. Fatih İNAN, a faculty member of KTÜ History Department, carried out his field study titled “Ancient Greek Colonization and the Black Sea” within the scope of S.TRH 2047 Ancient Greek History course on 21.10.2024 at Trabzon Hagia Sophia Museum.

On the occasion of the 504th anniversary of the death of Yavuz Sultan Selim, a sultan of the world and the 9th sultan of the Ottoman Empire, organized in cooperation with our University and Trabzon University, the panel titled “The Afternoon Sun of the Ottomans: Yavuz Sultan Selim” Panel, organized in cooperation with our Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI, our Vice Rector; Prof. Dr. Bünyamin ER, Prof. Dr. Ali TEMİZ and Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk URSAVAÅž, Trabzon Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brig. Bahittin Murat YAKIN, Coast Guard Eastern Black Sea Group Commander Sg. Bnb. Aytaç BAYIRLI, Trabzon Provincial Mufti Selami AYDIN, Trabzon University Rector Prof. Dr. Emin AÅžIKKUTLU, academicians, students and guests attended the event at Prof. Dr. Osman Turan Culture and Congress Center.
